Appearance:

Basics

Height:5’ 11”

Weight: 154 lbs

Hair color/style: Dual-tones, black and grey to imitate Glalie markings. Kept long and usually tied high, with bangs allowed to grow in the front with frequent trimming.

Eye color: Bright blue

Piercings: one round, black labret in each dimple

Disfigurements: The nubby little horns are a result of a defect in his dittech. Along with that,  he will not take off his shirt of not for a VERY good reason because there are patches of skin on his rib area where it seems colorless, thin, and nearly see though. It is a glitch and another imitation of the features of his pokemon. These area are a serious area of weakness for him and rather unattractive.

Body type: Lean, sturdy, athletic

Speaking voice: Low, almost a drawl. He articulates and speaks in a way so that every word flows into the next. A grating kind of grumble frequents itself when he talks.

Overall:

TicTac likes to believe he sports a look as minty fresh as his nickname suggests. He likes to be both comfortable and simple. He will probably never be seen overdressed, which honestly wouldn't to be hurt given his job. Well. If the cold was much of an issue for him anyways. He still wants to give the outward impression of his (mostly) strong body. And why conceal his charming shit-eating smile after all. Some things of course did not change much from pokemon to human, the ever-frozen grin being one. His tiny, stubby horns are left over from a glitch thanks to the nearly constant cold his dittech is exposed to. He’s not shy about them however and simply explains them away as trans dermal implants and body modification that’s easily hidden with his dual-toned hair, a hood, or a hat. They require a modified helmet however.

He prefers to keep his hair out in the open however. He has a particular fondness for the color and how it imitates the natural gaps between the ice in his Pokémon form. He keeps it long and sleek. His eyes are almost always half closed, squinted or hidden beneath his thick brows, but never any less blue or sharp as they are in his original form. His teeth are white and straight, almost freakishly so, and are almost always on display in one way or another. It’s hard not to notice the smile with the cheek piercings strategically placed in his dimples to highlight it. As a side-note, Tobias seems to smell faintly of peppermint (because he puts too much stock into his ego and his nickname and always has a bit of money on hand for some scented sprays).

Overall;

For the most part Tictac can be described quite simply; self-serving.  He’s not unfriendly and certainly not cold, in fact he's rather easy to get along with. But, he doesn't usually seem to have any kind of motivation to do anything that doesn't satisfy his needs, wants, or ends. And what he wants changes often. Actually, he might not ever be 100% sure of what he desires at any given time. Because of this he's usually lazy in practice, he always tries to perfect in execution. It seems that one of the feew thing he claims he anchors himself to that he wishes to see humans pay for their evil. What he doesn’t tell people is how many should pay or to what degree is the question… he’s still working that out. Somedays he honestly feels like there’s no need to do anything at all.

His dislike waxes and wanes, since he’s away from the Glittering Caves headquarters the majority of the time and working, Tic is faced with the strange phenomenon of kind humans that he actually…likes. For a young creature like him it often feels like he’s being dragged in two different directions, walking a knife’s edge with the jaws of the Kabu Syndicate stretching open every way. Of course no one should know this, so he’s rather mum on the subject. He makes up for it with a smooth, slick wit and tactful avoidance.. or just with showy acts. Since he can’t organize his inwardly felt back-and-forth, he compensates by ordering the world around him. He’s the kind of person who can talk happily for a long while with nothing to say, and he always has a word or two to impart before a hasty depart. Which he often does. Never one to be tied down it’s not unusual for him to disappear to do his own thing.

Under his cool and laid back personality, there’s a secret and deep vein running with violence. He doesn't necessarily want to let this aspect of himself break the surface, but in his down time and when he has moments of quiet reflection it may invade his thoughts among other dark things. It takes a lot to tap into it since anytime he feels it rising up he diffuses it with a hunt. However, It’s possible to unbind this bridled aspect of himself… which is probably one of the few reasons he’s still useful to the Kabu Syndicate at all.

History:

He does not remember much from his early life, only clinging to his “father’s” thick coat and stumbling after him in confusion for the most part. His father was, in fact, a lone piloswine, therefore it wasn’t the closest of relationships.  The piloswine was more self-concerned then nurturing towards  the snorunt he’d saved, But he let him tag along and educated him where he could. Tic’s persistence definitely paid off and he grew strong quickly. He spent a number of years living with the aging piloswine.

As he grew and gradually earned the respect of the other pokemon he started to venture questions about when and where he’d been found. It took a lot of tenacity but eventually he got enough information from the piloswine to put together a story. One blizzarding evening, the Piloswine heard frightened sounds of many young snorunts, all jostling around in a box . Human footfalls approached a space in the trees, probably a pokecenter attendant, set down the crate of frightened infant and released them. Tic was the only one ran into the reluctant guardian while his brothers and sisters scattered into the storm and to unknown fates.

He didn’t learn much more besides that but the questions never subsided. Even after he evolved they still burned him. He decided to find out or himself and departed taking only some of the old Piloswine’s parting advice with him. It is still a bittersweet thing for him.

The advice eventually led him to a group of pokemon distributing the wonderful Dittech. Afterwards he didn’t stick around to get help in comfortably transitioning into life as a pokehuman. A lot of what he learned in that first year was trail-and-error discoveries. Adjusting was definitely difficult for him in the beginning, since he tended to be a little strange and clingy towards strangers and people who were even somewhat kind to him for more than ten minutes in a strange almost ‘mirror image’ of when he was a young snorunt. Unfortunately his interest was often rebuffed. He learned to back off a little and speak slow to be understood.  Still he struggled to fit in with people. That changed when he made some odd friends.

Any parent would have been able to spot “bad influence” from a mile away with these individuals…but Tic didn’t have parents in the first place. These ‘friends’ were a riotous bunch, rude, rowdy, and bad news. At the time Tic wasn’t well equipped to know not to get mixed up with such individuals, all that mattered to him was that they were pokehumans like him. Being such a standout was not a good thing, so it was more comfortable for him to attach himself to a group of people who helped him out rather than try to rough it on his own. He learned to fit in and adopted the name TicTac, along with less conspicuous human name “Tobias Talcott”. Things were good. For a while anyway. As much as he wanted to belong he found himself a little disturbed by how his friends would talk about humans. They filled his head with ugly stories about what humans did to pokemon and often gave passing humans a hard time if the opportunity presented itself. Eventually the group joined up with the Kabu Syndicate and he finally accepted the blind hatred as reality, even if it made him a little itchy and uncomfortable on occasion.

Because of his need to belong in the new group he went along with everything, absorbed all he teachings, repeated every kind of slogan and hatred he’d learned. At least for a year. At the end of that year an altercation took place that drove him away from headquarters and back to his hometown; In an operation gone wrong he was ultimently involved in the deaths of a friend and an innocent. Tic was immediately transferred and set up in his hometown of Dendemille to avoid police investigation. During that time he got a job and frantically scrapped together a life, now somewhat disconnected from the gang that had taken him in during those first two years.

He got a job working as a janitor in a ski resort and got back to his roots, spending more time in pokemon form as well. As much as he tries to be a good Kabu syndicate member now that he’s away from it all it’s proving strange and hard. Curiosity and questions from years ago resurfaced about where he’d come from, and worse… he made friends. Different friends, human friends. Which is so very, very wrong. He couldn’t help it though, they were nice and he could get along with them. He also discovered Snowboarding and learned rapidly. He even became a ski patrol member and park attendant. All of this shook his view of humanity and started an internal clash between the values he’d learned in kabu and the people he’s met that challenge it. The longer he stays in Dendemille and the more good people he meets the less sure he is about the gang. As of now he’s a very conflicted individual, getting by day-to-day and hoping his disloyalty will not be uncovered while he figures things out and rekindles his search to find out  where he came from.

Relationships:

Extras:

-hates the word 'radical' and all variations of it, ironic context or not. Dislikes the word "radish" as well.

-gets a little upset when he sees a messy room.

-dislikes the sound produced when he chews in his human form, thought he often grinds and clicks his teeth without thinking.

-His nickname comes from his old friends pointing out his teeth-tapping habit. But he insists it’s because he’s as minty fresh as the breath mint that share the nickname. He will take this assertion to his grave.

-likes to think he can know people just by talking to them…. But that is far removed from truth since he’s an awful judge of character

-refuses to touch things that have a bumpy/raised dot surface

-forgets to blink… a lot.

-As far as his membership in the Kabu Syndicate goes he’s really not as useful or reliable as a model member should be. He’s mostly there because it’s comfortable to be in a gang of people who share a goal. And also he’s afraid of what might happen if he does try to leave. It much more fun and easy to stick to the group.

Chat Availability:

Nearly all the time, particularly in the evenings. RP-ing works best if you catch me early though

Roleplay Mediums:

I prefer DA chat and Skype. I will also probably  put up a comment rp deviation at some point.

Role-Play Example:

Tic’s eyes moved, tracking his target. “c’mon.” he whispered under his breath. He shifted to make himself more comfortable on the post he was leaning on while he watched the snowboarder tearing through the snow towards a jump. Anyone who had been watching this terrain park and the people in it for as long as TicTac had would know that this rider probably wasn’t at the same skill level the park was intended for. This guy was going to fall sooner or later, and he wanted to see it happen.

Tic’s teeth snapped together a couple times, anticipating. Then, sure enough, the boarder pulled up just a little and sailed off the jump. They landed alright initially but moments after touching down the boarder was on his face. Tic chuckled and pulled his goggles down over his horns and onto his eyes. “Called it, amirite?” he said to no one since he was alone on-duty. He pushed himself off the post and began to snap in. Should he go check? The guy wasn't moving and other people were wanting to use the jump. Why should he care though? Sure it was his job but..Hm. He stared at the human lying prone a moment or two longer before pushing his body forward and sliding up to him. Might as well. It was easy enough to push the Kabu teachings to the back of his mind when it was a matter of work. Maybe that wasn't the right thing to do… best not think on it too long.

“Hey man.. you okay?” He asked in a gentler tone and extended a glove to the fallen boarder.

WOW AHAH. this kind of took forever. Luckily, I was able to draw and color this before the brunt of my sucky-art dry spell hit. I'll probably update it sometime when my basic ability to "do" returns. And gosh i think i re-wrote his app about 3 times...

Anyway i've got super high hopes for this group! phew gotta go write more apps gwaah
